  • A very impressive palace inside and out with huge history. Photography now allowed inside. Especially impressive when the lights switch on - but only on Sunday evening.  more »

  • Awesome palace. You probably see 10 percent of the palace but worth the time. Beautiful three dimensional paintings done decades ago was a sight to see. We had a guide so he had actual pictures of the ceremonies done last year which was great. We went on Sunday so they had the lights turned on which was awesome. The lights get turned on at 7 pm. Beautiful architecture allowing a good ventilation on a warm day in the main hall was remarkable. Must see place if you are around Mysore.
  • One of the beautiful palaces in the country. Too much crowded, go with family, have some great photo framing family pictures. Go inside if you want to view the architectural beauty of the palace otherwise stay outside because there's too much heat inside (because of crowd, govt should consider to install AC now). Nice place to visit if you are in Mysore. Interiors of this palace are amazing. You will be amazed to see this and only one question will arise in your mind..how so beautiful! How anyone can carve rocks so beautifully. A temple is also there and a garden. The washroom is there for male and the female. Wonderful light and water show by evening. That was fabulous.. You ca have a look at it despite visiting the palace in the day time..
