Dalat Cathedral, Da Lat

3.3
See Dalat Cathedral, which French made in honor to Saint Nicholas. This Catholic church’s exterior boosts Romanesque architectural style. On the very entrance, at the gate, you can see the statue of Virgin Mary. Around it, you can see an European cemetery, which they don’t use anymore. The high bell tower makes the most imposing part of the church, as it can be seen from different parts of the city. Architects decorated the interior with stained glass. • Pretty building, with loads of outbuildings, including one that is a shop. Appears the Cathedral is only open at times of Mass. Strange, when the shop keeps hours that are very retail minded...  more »
  • the Cathedral is closed most of the time. to enjoy the exterior is not a proposition! there is a shop on the ground that sells religious items.  more »

  • In 1943, during the French Civil War, the French Gothic Cathedral was built with all the building materials. It would be boring if you could just take pictures of churches in all parts of Vietnam in a landmark format, but if you knew a little bit, you could see more. The format of Maria and the fact that she still uses the old hangar building on the side of the shrine. There's no point but the Catholics if you just go to take pictures. Couples usually come to take pictures. In the morning, you can only see the outside, and in the afternoon, you can also open the inside. There's a small parking lot inside. The content is half-experienced and half-copy.
  • Very beautiful spot to take pictures. Did not go inside. Benches to sit on side of church outside. Charge for parking, but you can park a motorcycle outside the gate for free.
