Dalat Railway Station, Da Lat

#24 of 173 in Things to do in Da Lat
Architectural Building · Landmark
A colonial Art Deco structure with some nods to Vietnamese highland architecture, Dalat Railway Station once provided an important starting point for the rack railway. Climb into the old wooden carriages on display and take some nostalgic photos, then explore the well-preserved Japanese Class C12 steam locomotive and its counterpart, a 1930s German model of a Prairie engine. The station still services five trains, including a 7 km (4.3 mi) circular journey around the city and through some countryside. A local guide will tell you all about history of the region; refresh at the cafe in one of the trains. Before you visit Da Lat, use our trip planner to discover what you can do and see there.
