Discover remarkable panoramic views from The Marble Mountains. The cluster of hills serves as a place of pilgrimage that shelters stone-carved temples as well as limestone and marble caves and tunnels. Look for 17th-century Buddhist sanctuaries or climb the steep stone steps leading up to superb vistas. Wear comfortable shoes, bring lots water, and carry a flashlight for your visit of the caves. This is a good trip for people that don't mind touristy activities and like temples. If you don't like these, skip this trip. If you do like these kinds of experiences you will get a nice hike and some views of well kept temples. Please remember to wear appropriate clothing out of respect (no shoulders showing and no shorts for both men and women). Although there is no one really monitoring this, it's just the right thing to do. I would also recommend sneakers since there are some areas where you have to climb over some rocks. There were a good amount of tourists, but definitely not as crowded as the caves in Ha Long Bay. At the base of the mountain there are people who will try to sell you marble. If you plan to buy something from them, make you you negotiate. I found the same pieces at a night market later on for literally half the price before even bargaining, I was really glad I did not allow them to scam me.

Loved it. Ancient caves, beautiful views, marble rocks, peaceful pagodas and huge Buddha statue inside a wall in one of the caves.. Must visit. You can buy nice small souvenirs along the road. Bargaining must. But don't go into the big shops cum exhibitions.. A tourist trap.
