Situated in the Son Tra peninsula, Chùa Linh Ứng is the largest pagoda in the coastal city. Built in 2010, the pagoda boasts a unique marriage of modern and traditional Vietnamese architecture. Notice the white Buddha sculptures that illustrate various myths and stories in Buddhism. The highlight is the 67 metre high statue of the Goddess of Mercy (bodhisattva Avalokiteśvara) where it’s possible to go inside to view more Buddhist sculpture. Feel free to ask the monks about the history of the pagoda for a meaningful insight. To visit Chùa Linh Ứng and other attractions in Da Nang, use our Da Nang trip itinerary builder tool.

  • Beautiful Buddha statue and temple. They have wraps for you if you need to cover your legs. The drive there from the city is also really pretty with lots of photo ops and scenic views.

  • Beautiful place and so well kept. No entry fees, no parking fees, and little shop not marked up in price either. Absolutely stunning views and amazing architecture. Excellent little trip and well worth going.
  • Worth a visit if you make a trip out of exploring the area, ride the mountain roads and ascend to the nearby lookout point for great views of the city. And watch out for the monkeys! They're friendly but don't get too close, especially with food.
