Admire Jaipur’s majestic “floating palace,” Jal Mahal, situated in the middle of Man Sagar Lake. The red sandstone palace supposedly dates back to the 18th century, but has been renovated and restored numerous times. On a lakeside stroll, you’ll find that the palace appears to be floating on the water's surface, but in reality only the top floor of the imposing building is visible, while the rest are submerged underwater. While entry into the palace is prohibited, you can take a boat ride on the lake to inspect it closely, or enjoy the view from the land. It couldn't be easier to arrange your visit to Jal Mahal and many more Jaipur attractions: make an itinerary online using Inspirock's Jaipur trip planner.

This was such a beautiful place visited around 5 years ago. Clean and safe with so many things around. It was on the side of the road with less crowded, beautiful place and river flowing around made it soothing to visit this place Visited with the parents and also Many things from there which were sold by people out there

Its a beautiful fort situated amidst the lake, architecturally very sound and beautiful. The surroundings are so beautiful with mountains around and variety of trees and a very good place for birding too. One thing that I didn't like was that the local residents throw in flour balls and other edibles and inedible stuff including the plastics packs and clothes making it difficult for the wildlife to survive in and also difficult for visitors to breathe in fresh air there.
