Standing astride the capital's grandest ceremonial road, India Gate pays tribute to the soldiers of the colonial Indian Army who lost their lives fighting for Britain in World War I. In the heart of the capital's main governmental district, the triumphal arch-style gate rises to a height of 42 m (138 ft) over the road below. Wander around the base of the gate to see the imposing stone structure up close, and be sure to look up at the cornices to see the inscriptions dedicated to more than 82,000 Indian soldiers who died fighting in Europe, Africa, the Middle East, and elsewhere between 1914 and 1919. Don't miss seeing the small memorial beneath the gate's archway, a flame dedicated to the unknown soldier. India gate deserves 5 stars in matters of patriotism. However, from a tourist spots perspective it's better to see this gate on the way from your car then holding yourself to stand and have a picture of it, that's why I gave 3 stars. Yup, it's in construction and guards won't allow you to stand in the centre and have a picture (it's against the law). Even you will be fined if you haven't worn your mask in a public area. Personally, I don't have an issue following the laws.
